The Sputnik LED Fireworks Flush Mount Ceiling Light S40 is a modern Art Deco firework-burst flush mount ceiling light in metal and acrylic with integrated LED, available from 12 heads at Dia 80 cm (31.5") up to 42 heads at Dia 128 cm (50.4"), designed for the living room, dining room and foyer.

Slim rods radiate from a central hub in a firework burst, each tipped with an LED, so the fixture reads as a wide sculptural starburst rather than a hanging light. The whole thing is only 7 to 9 cm deep — under three and a half inches — which is the point: it covers a large ceiling area and throws light across roughly two metres without the drop that rules out pendants in a room with eight foot ceilings. Black gives a graphic contrast on white ceilings; gold reads warmer and picks up brass hardware elsewhere in the room.

Which size Sputnik Fireworks flush mount do I need?
Match the diameter to the room. Dia 80 cm (12 or 18 heads) suits a room up to about 12 by 12 feet, Dia 105 cm (20 or 28 heads) suits 14 by 14 feet, and Dia 128 cm (30 or 42 heads) suits a large open living or dining room. Within each diameter, the higher head count is brighter and 2 cm deeper.

Will this fit a room with low ceilings?
Yes. It is a flush mount only 7 to 9 cm (2.8 to 3.5 inches) deep, so it sits tight against the ceiling. This is the main reason to choose it over a pendant or chandelier in a room with eight foot ceilings.

Does the Sputnik Fireworks light need bulbs?
No. The LED chips are integrated, so no bulbs are required and none need to be purchased. Because the LEDs are built in they are not user-replaceable.

Is it dimmable, and what colour is the light?
It is not dimmable and operates from a push button switch. The light is 4000K neutral white by default, which is brighter and cleaner than a warm 3000K bulb.
