Where to use it
Mount a pair either side of a bathroom mirror at roughly eye level, about 60 to 66 inches from the floor and 28 to 36 inches apart — side lighting at face height is far more flattering than a single fixture above the mirror, and frosted glass keeps it soft. Beside a bed, mount at 48 to 60 inches from the floor so the light falls where you read. In a hallway, space a run 6 to 8 feet apart for an even rhythm of light up and down the wall. Because the emission is vertical, give each fixture clear wall above and below to show the effect.

What bulb does it take?
G9 bulbs — a small bi-pin capsule base, not a screw base. Be sure to buy G9 rather than E26 or E27. Choose 2700K warm white to keep the brass looking warm.
Does it light up and down?
Yes. The cylinders are open at the top and the bottom, so light leaves in two vertical columns and washes the wall above and below the fixture. It is ambient and accent lighting rather than a directional reading light.
Is the glass clear or frosted?
Frosted. The glass diffuses fully, so no filament is visible and there is no glare at face height — which is what makes it suitable beside a mirror.
Is it hardwired, or does it plug in?
Hardwired. It wires to a wall junction box and is operated from a separate wall switch, which is not included. There is no plug, no cord, and no switch on the fixture itself, so it needs an existing switched wall outlet box or an electrician to install one.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
It is rated IP20, which means no water protection at all. It suits a bathroom only in a dry zone — beside a mirror away from the shower or tub — and must not be installed where it could be splashed. Check your local wiring regulations for bathroom zones before installing.
What does IP20 mean?
IP20 means the fixture is protected against contact with objects larger than 12 mm, but has no protection against moisture. It is an indoor, dry-location rating.
Is it dimmable?
