A disc of natural alabaster, with a single machined brass boss at its centre. That is the whole design. The stone is cut into a clean circle, only 4.7 inches deep, and it sits proud of the wall like a small moon. The brass centre — turned with fine concentric rings — is the one point of hard detail on an otherwise soft surface.
Alabaster is translucent, so the integrated LED behind the disc lights it from within. The stone does not simply reflect light; it carries it, and the natural veining shows through as pale clouding and warm streaks that no printed or moulded material reproduces. Every disc is cut from natural stone, so every one is different.

This is the detail that matters most. The sconce comes with a 59-inch cord and a switch plug — it goes into an ordinary outlet and switches on at the cord. No junction box, no hardwiring, no electrician, and nothing that needs a landlord's permission.

Where to put it
Beside a bed, mount the 9.8" so the centre sits roughly 48 to 52 inches from the floor — high enough to clear a nightstand, low enough to light a book. Flanking a mirror, use a pair of 7.9" at eye level for even light on the face. In a hallway, a run of three or four 7.9" discs spaced evenly turns a corridor into something composed. The 13.8" is a single-object choice: one on a large blank wall, where the veining in the stone is the point.

Is the alabaster real stone?
Yes. Each disc is natural alabaster, a translucent stone lit from behind so its veining shows through. Because it is natural, the clouding, color, and grain differ in every piece. If you order a pair, expect them to be similar but not identical — that is the material, not a defect.
Is it dimmable?
No. It is controlled by a push button switch on the cord and is not dimmable. It should not be used with a plug-in dimmer.
Does it need a bulb?
No. The LED is integrated, so there is nothing to buy or install. It is also not user-replaceable — LED modules of this type are rated for many years of normal use; contact us about service if one ever fails.

Can I hide the cord?
The cord is a visible part of a plug-in fixture. Many customers run it into a slim cord cover painted to match the wall, or let it hang deliberately — against a pale wall the thin black cord reads as a drawn line. If you want it hidden completely, an electrician can convert the fixture to a hardwired installation.
How do I clean alabaster?
Dust with a dry soft cloth only. Never use water, vinegar, or household cleaners — alabaster is porous and acid-sensitive, and liquid cleaners leave permanent marks.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. It is rated for indoor dry locations only. Alabaster is porous and stains in damp conditions, so keep it away from bathrooms and any humid room.
